Metal is the most expressive and variable 3D media in use today. It combines some of humanity’s oldest and newest technologies and aesthetic desires in a synthesis I find endlessly intriguing and full of possibility. I am proficient in sculpture using steel, bronze, copper, brass, and silver. I use oxy-acetylene bend-and-tack sculpting combined with sheet metal-forming and blacksmithing techniques in my steel sculptures, and in non-ferrous metals use a combination of sheet construction, wire lamination, and lost-wax casting, among other techniques.
